Yes, they are. Black and gold are colours long used in the law enforcement institutions the Langs worked in back in Zheng-Fa, I just kept the tradition.

I suppose it’s the one of me playing with my dog whilst father watched over us. The Lang name hadn’t been tarnished then. I do keep some friendships back at home, but I don’t see them much because of work.
